A reminder of summer

Brrr cold, rain and stormy outside. The frontlawn is covered in broken off branches from the Kowhai tree. Winter. I am so not a winter person…
Perfect time for a little summer reminder. Had so much fun doing this mini album about Rainer and my lil’ summer trips for my DT stuff over at NZScrapbookShop . using the yummy BasicGrey Boxer range. I designed and cut our various shapes of cardboard by hand… I so need a quickcutz or something. ( Rainer, I hope you are reading this!) Distressed a lot as well as inking up with white for that washed up look. Rather like the way it all came together.

Some LO’s

Thanks for the wonderful wishes and comments!
Saturday I dropped off my stuff for the NZ Scrapbook Shop – sorry Ann, missed ya again ūüė¶ One day eh! I’m so silly sometimes, I scanned the LO’s I made for the big BE calendar, but forgot to take pictures of the actual calendar… Blame it on the heat;p
For January Рthis basic greay paper just begged to be cut out, used some embroidery, beadwork and bling;p Duh I also forgot to take detail shots;p

February – Valentines – surprise! -my huni and I!!!

I’ve decided to put myself more on pages this year, here I am gracing the march page LOL. Check out the NZScrapbook Shop blog for the latest new stuff like BG Two Scoops etc.
Scrap the Teenz has started off the year with a food theme and I love how different all the entries are. Go on , check it out and while you’re over there why not leave a comment ;p
TFL and have a good start to the week , and another glorious holiday for all the Aucklanders!

Something obscure 0.o

*chuckles* Obscure as in BasicGrey papers;p My design team work for NZ Scrapbook  this month. WhenI first got the papers I was a bit stumped, but then I saw this suit man and just knew I wanted Chris as a surfing suit dude and all came together real well. My first poppet type LO and I enjoyed making it.

Because all the papers have the same tone I added some contrast and dimension by mounting them on black painted chipboard. Unfortunately you cant really see it in the photos:(
The next one is about a weekend escape Рboystyle- for a weekend of LAN ( local area network) gaming. Basically they all bring their bedding, computers and gear, connect them all and play computer games against each other all day and night;p

Had to sneak one LO of my love in¬†too. Love this photo, he’s so cheeky, making me smile and love him all the more!
It’s doing double duty and is my entry to the mood dare over at the NZDares.

Entered the first 2 and the x-treme Lo in the BasicGrey Gallery and they all got accepted!
While I was at the NZScrapbook Store I couldn’t resist and took some of their new MM Noteworthy range home;p Just luv it! Check it out here. Got some plans with it for me and a friend. I feel Making Memories went down the gurgler designwise last year but has come back really strong with the Funky Vintage range and now Noteworthy this year.
TFL and hope you all have a fab weekend!

What’s up?

A quick update. Meeting the NZ scrapbookDT¬†gals was awesome! It’s gonna be so much fun to meet in real life on a regular basis! Got my first project- a little accordion album – using the lovely Heidi Grace Wildflowers range.

Rainer is still suffering from his cold and had to work throughout saturday right until he left for Melbourne – big conference – at Sunday:( I’m worried about him and cant wait¬†for him to be back home – middle of tuesday night….*sighs*

So I went to Puke crop on Saturday and had¬†fun catching up with the gals. Managed to do some prep work but wasn’t highly productive 0.o No surprise after the hectic work week I was in need of some slow time. Yesterday was one of those miserable sundays, rainy and grey and I just missed Rainer terribly. Cleaned and organized¬†my scrap area some more and it’s almost done. Whew!

Hopefully my PaperPesto kit will arrive at work today and¬†inspiration will strike me with something fun to do for my make’n take at Paperpesto’s ScrapPinkDay.

This and that

Wow gals, *hugs* thanks for your wonderful comments! Big thanks Hannah for the cool wee sticky notepad – love it-¬†¬†it reads ”Chaos, Panic, disorder, my job is done here.”¬† Rainer found it and just chuckled and said woa that’s you alright, where did ya buy it? Man did he laugh when I told him it was a present;p¬†

Posted the raks and PIF’s today! Such fun I reckon I’ll do that more often.

Oh the new NZ Scrapbook DT details are up on their blog.¬† We’ll meet for the first time this Thursday, I am sooooo looking forward to that!

Over the last few days I’ve been trying to tidy up the chaos in my scrap room. Still not done, but woa the table now shows more than a 12″x12″ square of free space;p I reckon I need to reorganize things more and likely??? -*I can hear Rainer laugh*¬†‘de-clutter’.. oh Horror… I am such a hoarder.. that’ll be hard. But I’ve decided I’ll donate a pile to work, lol that way I still get to play with some of it and it’s not quite such a final good-bye..LOL. Man I am bad!

Stumbled over this ‘organizing your embellishments’ by Jill Hornby. It always looks so easy when others do it. But I’m determined to find a way that works for me.

Thanks for popping by.
